Wedding Guest Outfits on a Budget

2013 is turning out to be a wonderful year for me wedding-wise. So far, I have not one, not two, but THREE weddings to attend, which makes me a very happy girly indeed!

Along with all of the excitement of the wedding preparations - the girly telephone conversations, the planning of the hen do’s and helping out with themes - there is also the best excuse EVER to go out and treat yourself to a new outfit to wear on the day.

As a confirmed bargain hunter and eBay addict, I always relish the challenge of putting together an amazing new outfit without upsetting my bank balance too much.

I went for an open minded mooch around the shops to get some inspiration and after finding a dusky pink feather fascinator in Accessorize, I knew that the theme for my first outfit was decided!

Chocolate brown and dusky pink are a match made in heaven, so I was over the moon when I won this gorgeous barely used Coast  dress on Ebay – an absolute bargain at £41 (around £135 new).

And the dress even comes with a separate net underskirt to add volume, if you want it.

And these Karen Millen heels blew me away! I knew that I wanted a peep toe and when I saw the strap and the snakeskin, I knew that they were the perfect match for the dress… I won with a bid of £19.99 on Ebay and am now the proud owner of a practically new pair of Karen Millen heels worth around £140.

And to top it all off, what do you think of my fascinator? It is very easy to wear as you just slide it into the side of your ‘do and you’re away! I will be wearing my hair in a chignon for this wedding, so a feather head piece should go perfectly! This was a bit of a splash at £17 from Accessorize     but I think that I have saved enough on the dress and shoes to make it ok!

I wanted to go for a really pretty clutch bag to compliment the outfit and so that no bag straps would ruin the lines of the dress. I found this little satin clutch bag on Ebay for £19.99 – I love the little crystal flower details.

So my entire first wedding outfit might look like I have spent over £300 but has actually come in at under £100 – outfit number one sorted!
